Today Charleston to Charleston, Inc. announced details for the second annual collaborative literary festival taking place in Charleston, S.C. November 8–11, 2018.

The festival, called Charleston to Charleston, is an ambitious collaboration between the Charleston Library Society, South Carolina’s cultural and intellectual living room, and the Charleston farmhouse in Sussex, home to the Charleston Festival, one of England’s premier literary gathering. The College of Charleston Friends of the Library are excited to share this announcement with their supporters today as a promotional sponsor of the festival.

The Charleston to Charleston Literary Festival will once again offer a stimulating weekend series of programs supporting all things literary, scholarly and creative with authors, readers and thinkers from around the world. Events will take place in the historic Beaux Arts building of Charleston Library Society and The Dock Street Theatre, the first building built exclusively for theatrical performances in the United States.

“We are excited to build on the enthusiasm from last year’s festival to bring even more literary guests to South Carolina in 2018,” said Suzanne Pollak, Interim Executive Director of Charleston to Charleston, Inc. “Our goal is to strengthen the festival each year to continue to unite internationally acclaimed authors with readers for years to come.”

Confirmed speakers include Earl Spencer, Tina Brown, Stephen Greenblatt, Margo JeffersonMadeline Miller, and many more.
