Callicott wins ExCEL Award - College of Charleston Libraries

Burton Callicott, reference librarian at the Addlestone Library (shown here with his nomination letter prior to the ceremony), was last night awarded an ExCEL Award for Excellence in Collegiate Education in the  “Unsung Champion” category.  The 2010 Excellence in Collegiate Education and Leadership (ExCEL) Awards honored more than 30 students, staff, faculty and community members for ther commitment to creating a campus environment that promotes diversity and excellence. The winners were chosen from 98 nominations.  Callicott has initiated and facilitated many progressive green initiatives and events on campus as chair of the campus sustainability committee.
