Join us this Thursday, Nov. 12th at 6:00pm in Addlestone 227 as the College of Charleston Department of History presents, “An Evening with Cold War Connections – The Inside Story Behind Bridge of Spies.”

Hear from author and biographer Vin Arthey as he speaks about Rudolf Abel, the highest ranking spy ever caught in the US, his defense, and the exchange for U-2 Pilot Francis Gary Powers in Cold War Berlin, negotiated by Jim Donovan.  Special guest Mary Ellen Donovan Fuller, Jim Donovan’s daughter, will also speak about the true story and legacy of the case that epitomizes Cold War espionage.
