With the growing demand for innovative technology and prompt efficient service, the library has added a state of the art microfilm scanner.  The new Scan Pro desk top compact microfilm machine is a high resolution, fast speed machine that will support all type of microforms.  The Scan Pro is connected to a windows PC.  You have the option to save images to the computer hard drive or you can save to a thumb drive.   Also, images may be sent across the network to a distant device or even sent via email.   “Its software automatically applies filters to enhance the image and remove the effect of scratches and other blemishes on your microfilm images, quickly and efficiently”.  The Scan Pro is located near the color printer in the Addlestone computer lab.  In addition, there are two Minolta microfilm machines and a laser printer in the open space near the microfilm cabinets on the second floor.  The microfilm room on the second has been re-purposed and is now being used as a study room for students.

Addlestone Library is open to the College of Charleston community and affiliates via card access. Visitors may access Addlestone Library Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, and must present a government issued ID and sign in upon entry.
