Homer & Langley: A Novel by E.L. Doctorow - College of Charleston Libraries
AddlestoneBrowsing’s review: “I was intrigued about the Collyer brothers after reading about them in an article I was reading and then I found out that Homer & Langley was coming out in a few months.
I didn’t know what to expect about the book since I didn’t know too much about the brothers, but as far as historical fiction goes, I was happy with the result. What I liked most about the book were the complex emotions that the brothers have for each other and the outside world. Other things that I have read about them make them sound as if they were only mean, reclusive people with no care for anyone else in the world. This book gives them another layer of character that makes them seem sensitive and scared of what may happen as they grow older.
I would definitely recommend this book.”
