The College of Charleston Library/ Amazon.com Catalog Mashup plugin allows a user who is on Amazon.com to compare the books they are browsing with the holding in the CofC Library’s catalog. In addition, the plugin will also check PASCAL holdings to see if one of our lending partners has a copy of the title. If no title matches are found in the CofC catalog or in PASCAL the plugin displays a link for the Interlibrary Loan request.

In order to use this plugin you must have Mozilla Firefox installed. Firefox is an opensource cross platform web browser that is available free and can be found at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/.

Next. you will need to install the GreaseMonkey add-on which allows you to customize the way a webpage displays using small bits of JavaScript. You can install GreaseMonkey by visiting this link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748

 

Finally, You will want to download and install the CofC Library/ Amazon.com Catalog Plugin found here: http://library.cofc.edu/cofcamazonlookup.user.js.
