Public Wireless Network
This page provides instructions for logging onto the ADLPub (public wireless) network that is available in the Addlestone Library.
Logging onto this network using these instructions requires that your computer has WindowsXP.
- In the control panel click on the network connections icon
- Right click on your wireless network connection and select the properties menu.
- Click on the wireless networks tab at the top of the dialogue box.
- Make sure "use Windows to configure my wireless network settings" is checked and click the add button at the bottom.
- Type ADLPub (case sensitive) for the SSID and then disable the data encryption.
- Click "OK" and that should be it!
Once all these settings modifications are in effect your computer should be able to successfully log on to the public wireless network from a public area in the library.
